New class names for full-time programmes

EK is standardising the naming of classes starting next week (week 18). This means that class names may have changed, for example in your timetable.

This means that you may notice that class names have changed, for example in your timetable.
The changed names have no impact on your class or your schedule, and your access to Moodle or ItsLearning will also remain unaffected.

Initially, the changes will affect the naming of classes for the upcoming autumn semester. However, especially if you are a student from a former KEA programme, you may experience that existing class names change in week 18.

Going forward, the standardised class names at EK will be structured as follows:

  • Programme name, abbreviated to 3 letters (reflects which programme the class belongs to)
  • Location, abbreviated to 3 letters (reflects where the teaching takes place)
  • Language, abbreviated to 2 letters (reflects the language in which the programme is offered and whether it is Danish (DA), English (EN), or an online programme (OD))
  • Original study start of the class (reflects whether the cohort started in a spring or autumn semester, and the year)
  • Class designation A/B/C/D
  • The semester that the class follows

Example 1
Example of a class name change for a former KEA 1st semester class in autumn 2026 on the Cartography and Surveying programme:
KLTE-PCG-E26B becomes KLT-PCG-DA-E26B – Sem1

Example 2
Example of a class name change for a former CPH 1st semester class in autumn 2026 on the Financial Controller programme at Landemærket:
c-fic-da 0926a – Sem1 becomes FIC-LAN-DA-E26A – Sem1
