Theft and Burglary

At EK, we strive to have a school that is as open and accessible as possible; unfortunately, this entails an increased risk of burglary and theft.

It is therefore important that staff and students work together to protect our equipment and other assets by remaining particularly vigilant, for example by:

  • Being proactive: React if you see individuals in our premises who do not appear to have a legitimate reason for being there.
  • Securing equipment: Remove computers and other equipment so they are not visible or easily accessible when a room is left unattended.
  • Closing up: Ensure windows and doors are closed when leaving a room.
  • Checking security: React if you notice that surveillance cameras have been covered or if objects have been placed to prevent doors from closing or locking.

If you discover that a burglary or theft has taken place, it is important that you immediately report it to the manager responsible for that area.
