Student Counseling Service (SRG)

The Student Counseling Service (Studenterrådgivningen) is a psychological counseling service available to everyone studying at a higher education institution in Denmark and operates independently of EK.

Here, you can receive sparring and help managing personal problems you may encounter as a student at EK—typically of a psychological nature, such as stress, exam anxiety, or social difficulties.

It is important that you feel well and thrive in your student life. However, it is completely normal to experience that student life is difficult. You might experience difficulty concentrating, sadness, or loneliness. You may also experience exam anxiety or other forms of anxiety, deal with many worries, or perhaps show symptoms of stress.

In an individual session with a psychologist from the Student Counseling Service, you have the opportunity to talk about exactly what is challenging your student life and well-being. The session is free and confidential.

While EK's own Study and Career Counseling focuses on helping you through academic challenges and considerations regarding study and career choices, the Student Counseling Service is the place to go for more personal problems that do not relate specifically to the program you are enrolled in.

The Student Counseling Service is present at EK every week, so you can have a session with a psychologist at one of EK's locations. You are also welcome to book an online session.

One or more sessions are available depending on your needs. On average, students who contact the Student Counseling Service receive three sessions.

On the Student Counseling Service website,  www.srg.dk, you will find information about their other free offers—including workshops and group programs, plus various online resources, all of which are relevant for students.
